3. Behere

Behere is a very unique company that ‘connects the growing movement of hypermobile individuals with furnished apartments, inspiring workspaces, and fitness studios around the world’. Ultimately their process generally goes something like this:

  1. Select a private apartment for a minimum of 30 nights
  2. Add on a coworking space (Optional)
  3. Add on a fitness studio (Optional)
  4. Book!

Behere is similar to AirBnb, but they differ in that this company is geared specifically for remote workers and is aimed to help them get situated with a coworking space and fitness studio, as well! Currently, Behere offers a monthly option for different apartments or a yearly membership that will waive all of the processing, platform, cleaning, and city host fees of booking for a whole year.

Best for: Individuals (or couples) who want to get an apartment in a unique location for a month or longer and work remotely from there. This allows people to work from that apartment or coworking space depending on preference. Also, it makes it easier for people to get settled into their own space!

4. Venture with Impact

Venture with Impact is aimed towards professionals who want to work remotely and volunteer all over the world. They have truly incredible programs that serve humanitarian purposes. According to their website, this is how it works:

  • Accommodation: You will live in a 2-3 bedroom, but have your own private room. In addition, you will have access to a workspace with high speed internet, but can opt to work from the apartment too if you prefer.
  • Partner Placement: Depending on your skills and interests, as well as the needs of the organization, you will be placed accordingly.
  • Community: Each location will have a group of remote professionals who can work, live and travel together. Each week participants will meet to try local cuisine and share their experiences.
  • Cost: As of 2023 & depending on the location, the fees are generally around $2000+ per month.

Best for: Remote professionals looking to make a difference in the world, while traveling and exploring new places!

5. WiFi Tribe

WiFi Tribe brings remote professionals together for an absolute epic remote work and travel program. They pride themselves on a list of values: respect, humility, camaraderie, curiosity, passion, and inclusion. Out of all of the companies and programs listed, the WiFi tribe is one of, if not the, most selective. In fact, there are 3 stages: first you must submit an application, then you must do a video interview, and finally, you will have to complete a personality test. Based on each of these tasks, the team will review and see if you are a good fit. If you are, you are welcome to join the tribe!

Adventures span from 4 weeks all the way up to 8 weeks. Some current offerings include Pipa in Brazil, Oman in Muscat, and Goa in India. But there are many more to choose from!

The majority of their programs are quite flexible as you have the option to book shared or private rooms & there is no set itinerary per se. That being said, the group you are in helps plan things together as a community, whether that is impromptu weekend trips or weekday dinners!

Best for: Remote professionals looking to join a community rather than just a program, while traveling!
